Product Price Decides a lot.
The price of the product is important.
Since you are sharing commission with sellers, you have to make sure that decent amount of commission is paid.
Especially, you have to keep an eye on your competitors. Because people do want more commission per sale and they quickly want to make money.
- For example, when you fix the product price as $10 and at the rate of 50% commission – you give $5 per sale and you take $5 per sale. This is a very small amount and the affiliate marketers may not pick your product because of low commission. It is not like: you have to make your product costly instead, build such quality or worthy products.
- At the same time, if you fix the product price as $50 and at the rate of 50% commission – you give $25 per sale and take $25 per sale. This attracts lot of affiliate marketers because you are giving a decent commission. Basically, your product must be worth for $50 and it should address such important problems of the buyer.
Make Product based on Demand.
Launching your own product requires lot of dedication and goals. In fact, you must understand the user and your product must solve their problems.
As an example, Any one could write an ebook and tell that I am a writer, I own a product, bla bla…ultimately, do that ebook solves the buyer problem ? what is the purpose of that ebook ? How much it helps the buyer than other products ? Will you be able to share high commission to sellers ? There are lot of factors to consider and without knowledge, you could not promote your ebook. The idea is: find demanding market and address problems in those demanding markets.
- In a highly competitive market, you could easily find more sellers as well as they could sell you a lot because there will be more buyers.

Building your own product definitely needs knowledge and dedicated hard work. However, making others to sell that product is lot more easier with networks like CB or Sas. To summarize:
- build worthy product which solves buyer problem
- your product must be in a competitive or demanding market
- fix price to satisfy the sellers commission
- tell every one that you are established in that market and promote through an affiliate network….
